A good way to start a CARIBBEAN TOUR OF COSTA RICA, is to start out in Cahuita and go south to Puerto Viejo, Cocles, Punta Uva and Manzanillo.
Cahuita offers a variety of options and adventures. It is located in the southern end of the Caribbean, which is 40 kilometers south of the port city of LIMON. We can arrange for horse back riding on the white sandy beaches and in the jungle, and snorkeling trips on the 2 mile long reef off the point of CAHUITA NATIONAL PARK.

Also in the area is a sloth rescue center, where they raise baby sloths who were orphaned in the wild and attempt to release them back into the jungle
Visit an iguana farm where the indigenous Indians are working to save the endangered Green Iguana, you can go diving in Punta Mona of the rocks, surfing in either Cahuita at either Cahuita National Park Beach, Playa Negra or at the Salsa Brava in Puerto Viejo, just a few kilometers south.
There are rivers to canoe or kayak and wildlife abounds. We can arrange for ocean kayaking outings, bird watching trips with a guide, and a side trip to the Bocas Del Toros in the north east part Panama by boat or bus. To the north of Limon is the world famous Tortuguero National Park, one of the largest mangrove parks in the world. The trip starts in Port Moin, just north of Limon and requires a 4 hour motor boat ride up canals to one of the jungle lodges, which includes a stop for lunch. This trip requires a minimum one night stay at a lodge which includes meals. While there you can learn more about the animals, birds and plants that make up this unique and pristine jungle environment and go fishing for world record size Tarpon. If you travel in the spring, summer months, you will be able to see one of the worlds’ largest turtle nesting events.
