CAHUITA VACATIONS

You can see Monkeys, sloths and iguanas’ just about anywhere around Cahuita. You can go Kayaking on the ocean , river rafting through the rapids of the Pacuare  River or the Siquirres  River in class 3 and 4 rapids. Visit a local indigenous Indian village and see what a very different culture they have and what a unique and ancient way of life they experience.

You may be able to coax a local to take you fishing in their long boats. You can dive off Punta Mona in Manzanillo, hike the jungle with a guide and see things you never dreamed of.  When the wind is up the surf is up and black beach(Playa Negra)  has some great surfing along with Playa Grande.  Because of the coral coastal area there are natural ocean pools you can soak in that are much like a powerful Jacuzzi.

Off course as with any great trip abroad an always important feature is food. In a Cahuita vacation you will find a large and diverse group of restaurants. From, pizza to gourmet, local Caribbean,  French, Italian, Spanish, and Swiss cuisine. From small intimate little spots on the ocean to gourmet restaurants set back in the jungle. Any Cahuita vacation would no be complete without a visit to the sloth rescue center along with a canoe ride up the Rio Estrella into the jungle to see Caymans , snakes and many unique wildlife. The center rescues abandoned baby sloths and it is a great place for the children to see how the animals of the wild are cared for and what causes such problems.  It will help them to understand the cause and effects of development on the natural inhabitants of any region.
